It's time to take look at really heavy-duty new product for you CJ owners. Who makes the heavy duty parts for CJS?... of course Sam's Offroad Store. Sam Patton has been in several rock crawling championships, tough truck competitions, local events, etc. personally saw Sam at the 1999 Warn Rock Crawling Championships at Johnson Valley. This was great event and watching Sam royally beat his CJ-7 and continue to climb, was instantly convinced that his CJ was obviously built like tank. later discovered that Sam has built his Jeep entirely by himself and offers the same beefy products that are on his Jeep to the public.
My first impression of this new heavy-duty steering gearbox bracket was basically "WOW!!" Seriously, that was my first response after opening the package. This bracket was so heavy-duty and strong looking that was seriously amazed with the construction of this product. This bracketSconstructed entirely of 1/2" thick steel, and grade-8 bolts, nuts and washers. The bracket has been zinc coated and ready to install straight out of the box. It doesn't get much more heavy-duty than that. Below are some pictures of this Sam's Offroad heavy-duty steering box bracket and installation hardware.
For some reason CJ's are prone to tearing the steering box right off the frame under extreme conditions. ThatSexactly why Sam designed and manufactured this beastly piece of equipment. Basically, if your '76-'86 CJSrunning 33" tires or larger and you plan on doing any moderately difficult off-roading or trail-riding you more than likely should have one of these on your Jeep .SI'm sure anyone could imagine, broken steering box bracket or torn section of the frameSn't going to be an easy trail fix. In most cases you're not going to be able to fix this on the trail and your probably going to need tow home on trailer.
Okay, so maybe I've caught your attention and you're considering purchasing SamSOff-Road steering box bracket. Well the good news hasn't been said yet. Not only does Sam provide you with nearly bullet proof bracketSSed on his extreme CJ, but he also offers it for really reasonable price that won't hurt your wallet. How does $99.95 sound?
