These unique steering systems are designed to completely update the OEM steering system. The slip shaft kit includes needle bearing universal join for the column and the steering box, and 36" DD shaft (which can be cut to length). The system allows for approximately one inch of movement, eliminating binding caused by chassis flex. The result's smooth, responsive steering system.

PHASING--Keep the forks of the yokes closest to each other in line and parallel to the center of the shaft to avoid binding.
Set screws are supplied on all Splined and "Double D" U-joints. However, It's necessary to indent (by drilling) the shaft to properly secure the set-screw mechanism. Loc-Tite should also beSed.
The shaft should be flush with the ends of the U-joint yoke too short could sacrifice strength and too long will cause the shaft to interfere with the operation of the U-joint.
