ARB began in 1975 in Australia, where their products were often found on 4WD vehicles in the rugged terrain of Top End. The conditions were so extreme in that area that drivers found their vehicles were just not holding up. Those drivers needed the best quality accessories for the extremely punishing conditions, so Tony Brown started ARB. He had spent a lot of time fixing his Land Rover, which gave him credibility when it came to repairing other people’s vehicles. Brown took that experience to ARB (Anthony Ronald Brown) where he concentrated on making tough accessories for those who spent their time playing in extreme conditions.
ARB is committed to making sound design decisions while using reliable materials to create accessories. In fact, ARB is now the largest manufacturer of 4WD accessories in Australia. They are now international, with shipments going to 80 countries. All of their parts are designed and engineered with CAD, CAM parametric modeling and finite analysis. These parts can withstand vibration and crashes, and have been tested extensively. They use state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture all of their parts. They manufacture consoles, front bars, air compressors, roof racks and skid plates for a number of makes and models like Subaru, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Toyota.
